  Skyler Farnsworth Keri Gartland P1 AICE Media Studies As November 2, 2020 Decision Day The differences between Adobe InDesign and Premier Pro software are very diverse and need lots of time to get be successful in each. To begin with InDesign from the tutorial video that was assigned it gave the basics of the program. However, the manipulation of images was not as easy as they made it look in the video. “Dansky” just breezes through a few clicks to upload an image and resize it with a double click to crop (Dansky). Due to my increased knowledge in Adobe Photoshop this easy task was not accomplished in InDesign. The easy things to manipulate and create were the text boxes and objects. Creating drop shadows around an object you click object then effect and drop shadow. This program was not the one I will choose to deliver my story for my final portfolio project. Magazine Cover Review

The analysis of the Better Homes and Garden magazine begins with the cover. At first glance it is apparent it is Halloween, and the content can contain a craft of painting pumpkins and baking ghost cookies. The feature article is on new ways to carve a silhouette on your pumpkin by not cutting through it and shaving it down to create shadows. This is a technique seen in the pumpkin carving competitions and they are displaying it to inspire others to create it. In another article it was displaying a diy style silver clothing costume for your whole family to match. This develops interest from families and will cultivate brand loyalty amongst the children in the family seeing it in the magazine rack at home for many years. This builds the connection for many years of waiting to check out at the grocery store and connecting to the childhood memories.
